How to Brew the Perfect Cup of Black Loose Leaf Tea

Brewing the perfect cup of tea takes patience and the art of knowing how. Making a cup of hot tea sounds easy and instantaneous for some. Pouring boiling over a tea bag in a cup and letting it steep for a few minutes is what some people are accustomed to. But, did you know that there are certain steps, a specific temperature and an amount of time required to brew a cup of perfect loose leaf tea?

In three easy steps, you will learn how to make the perfect black loose leaf tea.

• Boil freshly aerated water up to 205 deg Fahrenheit.

• Add 1 – 1 ½ teaspoon of black tea in a cup and pour over boiling water.

• Cover and let the tea steep for not more than 3 minutes. Remove tea ball or teabag.

To add flavor to your cup of tea, add tea, not time. Infusing tea over time will burn the tea leaves and will make your final cup bitter.

You can enjoy your perfect cup of tea by adding milk or cream, or honey and lemon. But if you like the simple taste of tea, untouched by other flavors, you can enjoy it as it is.
